Description

Winning piece of the 1st National Composition Competition of the Spanish Association of Flute Players AFE 2024.

Compulsory piece of the VII National Flute Competition AFE 2025, held at its VII Flute Convention (Madrid, 2025).

"The Cantes de Levante are traditional songs from La Unión, at the Festival Internacional de Cante de les Minas, where the greatest recognition in the world of "Cante" is the "La Lámpara Minera" award.

This composition is my dedication to these songs that awarded me the "Filón de Oro" for the best flamenco instrumentalist, and I decided to bring the most current flamenco art to the score, being able to emulate singing, dancing and guitar with the flute.

For its interpretation, it is worth highlighting that it is a song free of time and when playing it gives way to lengthening the fermatas and emulating the figure of a singer.

This composition is dedicated to my son Guille."--Oscar de Manuel
