HL27158
This edition includes a piano part and a single performance score to be shared by both saxophonists.
The Duo Concertant, Op. 55 (1861) is probably the first work to have been written for soprano and alto saxophones and piano. It is in three movements (Risoluto, Andante and Allegretto), and is unlike the rest of Singelée's output. This composition should be considered as one of the first pieces of chamber music ever to have been written for saxophone.
