Of all the autographs of the symphonies, that of the Seventh was the only one used asa model for the engraving of the printed edition, which consequently gives a very clear rendering of the original score and the changes that Bruckner made after the first performance. for the first Complete Edition edition, Robert Haas "reversed the erasures"; in this edition, Leopold Nowak presented the score as Bruckner intended it to be passed on to posterity.
