    Description

Composed for winds, harp, piano and percussion, Efraín Amaya's Jokilis y Gorilas was commissioned by Maestro Robert Boudreau for the repertoire of his ensemble, the American Wind Symphony Orchestra. Inspired by the unique carnival traditions of Colonia Tovar, a mountain town located between the cities of Caracas and Maracay, Venezuela, Amaya's single-movement work evokes the upbeat festivity of the carnival celebration.
