The first movement depicts the fog and disorientation that characterized the first stages of this recovery, with faint recollections of the Tarrega's Gran Jota – one of Iliana's signature concert pieces. The second tells of her gradual return to a relationship with the guitar aided by revisiting the music of J.S. Bach; the movement features a fugal subject developed from materials borrowed, once again, from the Jota.
