The work has a number of striking features: its totally individual melodic and rhythmic style, resulting from Janáček's well-known approach to word-setting; the use of rests for expressive purposes; the original use of heterophony, which here replaces traditional polyphony; and the expressively written instrumental part. A truly worthwhile piece offering reasonably proficient amateur choirs a good introduction to modern choral repertoire.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e","brand":"Bärenreiter","offers":[{"title":"Performance Score","offer_id":29151750488143,"sku":"BA5421","price":17.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"Performance Score - Digital Download","offer_id":45298918457423,"sku":"BA5421D","price":17.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0900\/1828\/files\/6d6c25b74a5ca467b92a2a87e941a5eb.jpg?v=1781702396","url":"https:\/\/www.ficksmusic.com\/zh\/products\/janacek-mass-in-e-flat-major-barenreiter","provider":"Ficks Music","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
