Each movement tells the story of a different cello: In the first, the music portrays the adventures of the Stradivari 'Mara' cello, broken into many pieces when it was involved in a shipwreck. The second movement depicts the 'bee' cello, a cello in Nottingham that has been turned into a beehive. Next is a homage to the cellists Pál Hermann and Anita Lasker-Wallfisch. Hermann was a victim of the Nazis, but his Gagliano cello was rescued by a friend in an act of tremendous bravery. Finally, the clunks, clicks and the elegant planing of cello-making are represented in the fourth movement, which takes inspiration from The Open String Cello project.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e","brand":"Chester Music","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43207443808335,"sku":"CH88372","price":18.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0900\/1828\/files\/0ccae03d30e9bdc7da6bf864320d92d1.jpg?v=1766788486","url":"https:\/\/www.ficksmusic.com\/zh\/products\/frances-hoad-suite-for-solo-cello-chester","provider":"Ficks Music","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
