She asked that the music be in some way inspired by Bach. \u003cem\u003eFantasy\u003c\/em\u003e is in two movements, \u003cem\u003eLonging\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eDance of Time\u003c\/em\u003e. The first movement flows through a series of harmonies using constant running eighth notes, reminiscent of many of Bach's Preludes. As I found myself improvising, I realized that the structure of the piece did not fall into a particular form. Rather, it evolved into a free-form fantasy that embodied a sense of longing. in contrast, the second movement's running eighth notes are quicker and more energetic as they dance between the time meters of 7\/8, 5\/8, 6\/8 and 3\/4.
