From the composer: \"Four Ballroom Dances for Wind Quintet was inspired by a dance gig I played every Saturday night for about five years. We played all the standard styles of ballroom dancing, such as fox trots, waltzes, Latin styles, polkas, etc. This piece presents stylized versions of four of those styles: Cha-Cha, Waltz, Swing, and Samba.
