Though Crane is better known for his short stories, his\njournalism, and his novels (especially The Red Badge of Courage), Crane's stark free\nverse poems (which he called \"lines\") offer a unique insight into his unconventional\nworldview. As I read these poems, several themes emerged: a skeptical and sometimes\ncombative attitude to traditional religious ideas, the inability to express one's true\nthoughts and feelings, and various images of birds. Indeed, while Crane often seems\nunable to fully express himself, or if what he says comes out crudely, I found I admired\nhis essential truthfulness, his honest quest to understand the world and his place in it.\nTo me, these poems together formed a compelling, if sometimes bizarre, imaginative\nspace and I tried to capture that in the musical settings.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e","brand":"Qualified Noise","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45119104876623,"sku":"QN1052","price":31.95,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0900\/1828\/files\/d47b6a7fa646cd8c683e5cffb349145e.png?v=1776796159","url":"https:\/\/www.ficksmusic.com\/ja\/products\/ippolito-a-thousand-tongues-qualified-noise","provider":"Ficks Music","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
