Caller calls and without a greeting starts chattering loudly in single line music. Receiver eventually gets a chance to say Hello, softly in chords. This continues for a bit; then two then join in and go skating off in an equal conversation Mode.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eCeaseless Mantras\u003c\/em\u003e contains fleeting quotes from popular music: Falling in love with love, Meet George Jetson, The Sea, So What, and The Way You Look Tonight. It also includes music I wrote to compliment it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eNocturne\u003c\/em\u003e is evocative of night and uses very tight harmonies, i.e., clusters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eOne Self Eemage\u003c\/em\u003e: Let's rename this \"The End of a Very Bad Day.\" A poor temper is on display A few attempts to humor it fall short and it reverts to the dark side.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eCanto\u003c\/em\u003e: a gentle song.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eDesert Tango\u003c\/em\u003e: Some traditional Tango elements are heard but the piece is composed in mind of what happens when the Tango has been in the desert sun for years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eNight River\u003c\/em\u003e Intends to portray a foggy river at night.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eGo\u003c\/em\u003e is a \"parapraise\" of early piano rock. Maybe think of Jerry Lee Lewis or Little Richard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eFrom One Illusion to Another\u003c\/em\u003e is a series of mirages. As soon as we think we have arrived we go on to the next point. The end of this contemplative piece is secure, however.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eScherzolino\u003c\/em\u003e: The title refers to the nature of the piece, a bit joking, not its length which is a bit on the long side. It's a virtuosic work influenced by Scarlatti.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eVanished\u003c\/em\u003e is the last piece in Points and Tales. It's meant to let the cycle rest. The downward moving figure that starts the piece is revisited several times.
