Here it is published for the first time in its original, larger form containing a chorale, eight variations and the older ricercar.

This scholarly-critical edition includes a comprehensive Foreword on Distler's organ works, a detailed Critical Commentary (Ger/Eng) as well as a complete facsimile of the source material and registration examples from Distler's favorite organ at Lübeck's St Jakobi Church.
