Description
Oh, I see. by Carola Bauckholt is a 21-minute work for clarinet, cello, piano, two large balloons and video. About the inspiration for it, the composer says: "I have always been fascinated by our brain and especially by the logic of our dreams. Perhaps art and especially music could come closest to the processes in our brain." During the performance, two eyes are video-projected onto two large balloons which serve as instruments. The eyes move around and express different emotions.
The work was premiered on 26 May 2016 at the International Festival Bergen (Norway) by the Ensemble Asamisimasa.
