Collin: A Systematic Approach to Playing Scales

Description

These daily scale exercices have benn designed in order to combine two aspects of viola technique that are too often dissociated from one another i.e. accuracy of the left hand and control of the bow.

Based on a combinatorial approach, the following exercices coordinate the two fundamental technical notions, thus encouraging reflection on musical phrasing, through a detailed hands-on approach of articulation.

Beyond the necessary work on intonation, young musician will increase their awareness of the instrumental gesture.

This collection is intended for accomplished musicians as well as students.
