Description
Originally written as a piano duet and later orchestrated as ballet suite in 1911, Ravel's Ma mère l'Oye (Cinq pièces enfantines) contains some of his most charming music. This new arrangement for flute, oboe and piano - equally suitable for two flutes and piano - is a perfect concert piece for the ensemble, whit its elegant miniatures and sparkling middle movement. The flute and oboe parts are true to the orchestral score, making it a useful adjunct to study of the excerpts for audition preparation.
