Description
Mendelssohn wrote his second piano concerto in 1837 and it was premiered at the Birmingham Festival of 1837 alongside Mendelssohn's St. Paul Oratorio. The concerto is about 23 minutes in length, and is scored for strings, flute, clarinet, oboe, horn, trumpet, and timpani.
